The Business of the Day for the #ShopHardeman Hashtag and Photo Contest for Tuesday, December 10, is Second Chances in Grand Junction.
When you shop at Second Chances on December 10 and post about it for #ShopHardeman, your post is worth four entries in the #ShopHardeman drawing for a chance to win a Grand Prize worth $500.
Beginnings
Second Chances was founded 6 years ago by William and Lynette Burns. The business began as an eBay store for second hand items and was founded as a way to provide employment for a friend who needed a local job. However, Lynette and William quickly discovered that all the items they acquired couldn’t sell on eBay and they needed to expand to a brick and mortar shop.
Products
Second Chances sells new and used furniture and home decor at discount prices and attracts visitors from Memphis, Mississippi and Nashville. Lynette said some people come on a daily basis just to see what new furniture is in the shop. The Burns believe the shop is a good thing for the community and the mission of Second Chances is to offer great things at fair prices.
Location
Second Chances is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm, and is located at 253 Highway 57 E, Grand Junction.
