When you make a purchase at Livi Lou’s on December 3 and post about it for #ShopHardeman, your post is worth four entries in the #ShopHardeman drawing for a chance to win a Grand Prize worth $500 (see the bottom of this post for a list of everything that is in the Grand Prize).
Livi Lou’s Men’s and Women’s Apparel started off as Livi Lou’s Boutique in December 2017. Tracey Howell, Livi Lou’s founder, said it started as a house clean out sale in August and eventually grew into a full retail business. When her garage was too full to hold her merchandise, her friend Jo McMahan offered to let Tracey use her building to open a consignment shop. Within 6 weeks, the business moved next door to Miracle Healthcare and began offering new, branded items.
In 2018, Stan, Michelle and Ronald Howell were added to Livi Lou’s as partners and the named was changed to Livi Lou’s Men’s and Women’s Apparel. Livi Lou’s is named after Tracey’s granddaughter, Livi Chase (Lou).
Livi Lou’s is a full scale boutique which offers clothing and accessories for women and men, as well as children. They also offer a number of gift items like small home decor and other things.
Some of their most popular brands for women are Ronaldo jewelry and Corky’s shoes and KanCan jeans. Their most popular products for men are their men’s t-shirts and they carry men’s brands like Banded, Heybo, Struttin’ Cotton, Old South, and Turn Rows.
Tracey said at Livi Lou’s they strive to go the extra mile for their customers. They start dressing rooms for customers, will help them pick out outfits, steam the clothes if needed, and even offer free gift wrap, free delivery in Hardeman County, and free layaway. They have seating for husbands who are visiting with their shopping wives and a kids corner for kids to play while parents shop.
They offer a rewards program through their Clover point of sale system. If you download the Clover app to your phone, they will reward you points for your purchase which builds up to cash off your next purchase.
Livi Lou’s is now located at 1100 W Market St in Bolivar in the old laundromat building which they renovated.
“It was a fun project to flip the laundromat into an apparel shop,” said Tracey. “We have lot of people who come in and just look around to see the transition and thank us for restoring the building. Everyone wants for our community to look nice.”
Tracey said they chose Hardeman County for their business because it’s a place that is home to their family.
Livi Lou’s hours are Monday-Wednesday, 10 am to 5:30 pm; Thursday and Friday, 10 am to 6 pm; Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm; and during the holidays they are open Sunday afternoons 2-4 pm.
