An exciting new business is coming to Downtown Bolivar. Beehive Beauty Spa will be located at 111 W Market St in Bolivar. The business will celebrate their Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting on December 7, 10 am to 12 pm.
Why Beehive?
“When I was a little girl my grandmother would take me to the beauty shop with her and I loved everything about it–my time with her, watching her get her hair styled in a beehive and listening to the ladies chat about the goings on in town,” said Donna Criswell, the owner of the upcoming business.
Also, she and her husband Ray have recently taken up beekeeping which is why she incorporated a bee in her business name and logo.
Services & Products
Beehive Beauty Spa will be a salon and spa that will offer full salon services, including manicures, pedicures, massage therapy, and facial waxing. She wants to offer a luxurious experience at affordable prices.
The business will focus on all natural products. Donna, who is working on her doctorate in naturopathic medicine, has learned the importance of living as naturally as possible. She is committed to offering a variety of hair care and spa body products which are organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben, sulfate, gluten and PPD-free. She will also be on hand to share tips and knowledge of easy ways to live a more natural and healthier lifestyle.
Why Bolivar?
“The look and feel of the old town square also reminds me of the community where my grandparents lived,” said Donna. “We shop, dine, go to the movies and listen to great live music all along the square so it was a no-brainer for us that the Bolivar Square is where the Beehive Beauty Spa would call home.”
Donna said the community has been welcoming and she’s excited to join the growth and revitalization that is happening in Downtown Bolivar, a revitalization led by the city of Bolivar, DevCo, and Bolivar Main Street program.
Beehive Beauty Spa will open December 2 with the Grand Opening on December 7.
