The Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month is Bolivar Credit, LLC.
Bolivar Credit was formed in 2005 by Lori Lax and Stacy Lipford and is proud to call Bolivar its home. Lori and Stacy had both worked for a regional finance company that sold and moved out of Bolivar. Seeing the opportunity before them to continue to provide consumer loan services to their customers and the community, Stacy and Lori contacted another independent finance company in Tennessee and partnered with them to open Bolivar Credit. In 2007 the executives of Bolivar Credit purchased and remodeled the building where they are currently located at 309 W. Market St. After the untimely passing of Lori Lax in 2011, Stacy was offered the position of manager. In 2013 the executive committee offered Stacy the chance to become an equal partner and she gladly accepted.
Bolivar Credit offers loans to people with a less than perfect credit history and evaluates each application on its merits, giving every client a fair chance all while providing the best customer service possible. Clients that have discharged or dismissed bankruptcy can go to Bolivar Credit and possibly re-establish their credit or pay out title, payday, or flex loans. Some of their customers do have excellent credit and choose to do business there because of the customer service they receive.
Bolivar Credit has four full time employees. Stacy Lipford, Managing Member, has twenty-three years experience in consumer finance. Jessica Edmonds, Loan Specialist, has five years experience in customer service and finance. Both Mackenzie Luttrell and Amber Roberts are Account Specialists and have one year of experience in customer service and finance, respectively. When you apply for a loan with Bolivar Credit, you can typically have an answer in thirty minutes or less and, if approved, have your money the same day you apply. You may apply for a loan over the phone or in the office Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
Bolivar Credit is a civic-minded organization that supports the community by contributing to the local schools, Lions Club, Hardeman County Relay for Life, and Hardeman County Rescue Squad. This year they were one of the sponsors for the City of Bolivar’s Mayor’s Charity Ball. Please join the Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce in thanking Stacy Lipford and the staff at Bolivar Credit for their contributions to the community and for their continued support of the work of the Chamber.
